2BLUE No style, no rules, just music for you
2BLUE
Two musicians from Breda, Holland who have been playing together in numerous pop rock and bluesbands for the last thirty years. They are influenced by the great bands of the sixties and seventies like the Beatles, the Stones, Cream, Led Zeppelin, The Free and Bad Company.
But they play their covers allways in their own way, never like the original on the record. They can’t and they won’t! A Beatle song sounds like the Stones and a pop song turns into a blues.
Sometimes to the dismay of the “Music Police”, who have to catagorise music otherwise they don’t understand.
No, the best compliment a pub owner ever gave them: “you guys play that music, as if it is supposed to be played like that”!
In the song “Waiting all the time” they sing “.. that fame comes late, so here we play our song and wait”. But they won’t wait anymore.
A year ago they decided to write their own songs. Music they enjoy to play and record.
Never thinking about a style or rules. Just music that sounds a lot like the music that was, influenced them and sticked in their genes. Sometimes original and sometimes “borrowed”.
With a lot of guitar sounds, ‘cause the guitar is basic to their music. Songs they feel good about!
2BLUE - the album BLOP:
Of all the recordings they made in Frits Sixma’s studio they released 10 songs on their album BLOP.A mix of blues and pop, music they play from their childhood till today.
They hope you will feel good about it too! Check it out here.
